Development Meets Montessori: A Non-Linear View of Development

So far, our exploration of child development has encouraged us to reflect on the work of pioneers who hold on to a linear view of child development. But a post-modern approach takes a more non-linear view and we are delighted to welcome Sid Mohandas and Prof. Jayne Osgood of Middlesex University, who will introduce this view and invite us to reflect on how this might support our work as Montessorians.

Looking to the Future

Montessori Musings was set up in 2020 as a response to the pandemic and the various lockdowns that Covid brought with it. It’s aim: to offer a space to come together to reflect on and also critically engage with our practice, considering work and research by others from the educational sector.
